Christus Surrexit!

Happy Easter to you all! It is a joy once again to celebrate this great and holy time with you at St. Isidore and Holy Family. Once again, we are privileged to be partakers in the great sacrifice that our Lord made in His love for us. His death and resurrection offer us something this world cannot give - hope and certainty in the triumph of life over death. That is a thought for us all to ponder as we enter the Easter season, that we no longer have to be afraid and the hour of the power of darkness is overcome by the day of the Son of God. My wish for you all this Easter is that no matter what happens in this world, you never forget what St. Paul tells us, that “Christ proved His love for us in that He died for us, while we were still sinners”. His passion is our ransom, His sufferings bring us relief, His death is our victory over death.

It was a joy to see more people take part in the stations of the cross this year and avail themselves of the sacrament of penance. It is always a blessing to celebrate the Paschal Triduum with you and it was great to have so many of you with us this year. A deep and heartfelt “congratulations” and “welcome” to those who entered the Church this year. We are glad to have you with us as part of the Church that was founded by Christ. And lastly, a big “thank you” to the OCIA teams who helped prepare our brothers and sisters for this great moment and also to all of those who offered their time to clean and decorate, to prepare the music and our servers for their help during the liturgies. Thank you as well to Deacon John for his steady help and support as we did our best to offer fitting and dignified worship of our God and liturgy for all of us to take part in.
