Corpus Christi

As we know, the great solemnity of Corpus Christi is right around the corner, falling on June 3rd. A few years ago, we started bringing back the Eucharistic procession as part of the celebration and this year we are continuing with that tradition. Last year we began offering the possibility of decorating the altars to families from the parish and this year we are doing the same. It is an excellent opportunity to express your family’s devotion to a particular Saint (i.e. the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, St. Michael, St. Candida, St. Bernard etc..) or attribute of Christ (i.e. the Sacred Heart, the Precious Blood, the Good Shepherd etc..) and also a way to bring something new into the devotional lives of fellow parishioners. It is also a great way to get the whole family involved in celebrating one of our beautiful Catholic traditions. It does not require a lot of time or excessive effort and we will have a short list of what will be needed and offer directions on how to set up the altar.

Please contact the parish office if you are interested. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to seeing a glimpse into the devotional lives of some of our parish families.

God bless, Fr. Anthony
